Our school

Vision Statement:
Working together to support all students to develop skills, compassion and innovation to navigate there future

 

Humpybong State School has a total enrolment of 800 students in 2018. There are 31 classes including 5 Prep classes. Classes consist of single and multi-age classes. Humpybong State School enrolments come from a mixed socio economic background including 60 indigenous students.

Our school is committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all members of the school community through the nurturing of a school culture that recognises and celebrates the importance of the individual within the school and wider community.

We provide a quality education for all students with a focus on high expectations and a belief that our students can achieve and succeed. Our improvement agenda for 2017 focused on these aspects:

  • Improve student literacy and numeracy outcomes
  • Improve percentage of students in the upper two bands
  • Build teacher capacity
  • Continue New Pedagogies for Deep Learning (NPDL)

Through the consistent implementation of curriculum, explicit teaching and assessment and through personal and collective commitment, we will deliver improved learning and achievement for all students at Humpybong in 2018.
