Welcome to Humpybong State School Independent Public School

Humpybong State School is one of Redcliffe Peninsula’s leading co-educational primary public schools. Established in 1876, our motto is “Pro Patria” – for one’s country, we are steeped in tradition as one of the oldest schools in Queensland. Many generations of original families continue to attend Humpybong State School.
Our school has a long and distinguished reputation catering for a diverse range of students. At Humpybong all students are encouraged to become responsible, confident, self-motivated and co-operative individuals who aspire to achieve their potential within a safe and supportive setting.

We value the contribution of our school community as we work together to enable each individual to develop to their maximum potential, socially, emotionally, physically and academically.

This growth is fostered in a warm supportive setting, where the self-worth of each child is encouraged.

SOL (Sea of Learning for the Future) represents the school’s ethos and values, where students are explicitly taught how to Care for Self, Others, Learning and Property.

We strive to:
·         Promote life-long learning
·         Develop every child’s potential
·         Foster high realistic expectations
·         Build resilience and positive relationships

Teachers, staff, parents and community members work together in partnership, sharing the awesome responsibility of providing the very best for all students in our care.
